AMPP Certified Coating Inspectors

AMPP Certification is valued and necessary for many industrial projects. Many of The Merrick Group’s employees are AMPP Certified Coating Inspectors.

Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP)

AMPP (Association for Materials Protection and Performance ) is a organization formed by the merger of NACE International and the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC). AMPP aims to bring together the expertise of both organizations to provide a more comprehensive approach to asset protection and performance. The new organization will focus on corrosion control and protective coatings, as well as other materials-related issues.

The Merrick Group staff is composed of many AMPP certified coating inspectors. When you need a AMPP coating inspector, call us to discuss your needs.

AMPP Coating Inspectors

The Merrick Group’s AMPP Certified Coating Inspectors ensure that coating systems are applied according to the coating specification, and they accurately and objectively report the results of all inspection observations. If environmental, time, or any other constraints make compliance with the coating specification impossible, our Merrick Group Certified AMPP coating inspectors will use their experience with a coating material to determine when acceptable conditions exist.

AMPP Coatings Inspector Program

Industrial coatings for steel and concrete are vital to the integrity and operation of the structures, machines, and systems in which they are found. Regardless of initial build, retrofitting or repair/inspection, an AMPP coating inspector plays a vital role. In many cases, the coating inspector is an unaffiliated third party.

The benefits of AMPP CIP by The Merrick Group include:

  • AMPP Experience

The Merrick Group’s overall knowledge and experience of diverse AMPP jobs allow us to be able to better define timetables for each stage so that all specialties can be coordinated over the project’s lifecycle. This ensures that the job is kept on a strict timeline to prevent delays.

  • Defined Roles

Our AMPP specialists can lead a team, which allows multiple projects to run simultaneously. The Merrick Group’s AMPP certified inspectors are involved in all aspects of the project to complete the coating application. Our AMPP experts understand their team’s role and how to balance the coating inspection process to ensure quality isn’t sacrificed.
